Prime Day 2023 is in full swing, and whether you’ve been wanting to invest in some new fitness equipment or have been specifically eyeing a Peloton, one of the best deals of day one is for you.

Right now, the Original Peloton Bike with the updated seat post is a massive $300 off. It’s just $1,145 and includes free entryway delivery. As with most Prime Day deals, you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member–if you aren’t, sign up for a free 30-day trial here.

The Peloton experience is part hardware and part software–mainly because you get a well-made bike crafted from steel and a large 22-inch HD touchscreen for streaming classes. It’s the complete package, but remember you’ll need the All-Access membership for $44 a month, giving you access to classes beyond just the bike.

Unlike some other indoor stationary bikes that take up an inordinate amount of space, the Original Peloton bike is compact, with a footprint of just four-ft by two-ft. It has two stationary bars on the bottom to keep the bike steady while you’re riding.

In order to get comfortable and at the proper height for riding, you can adjust the set as well as the handlebars. The 22-inch touchscreen can even tilt upward or downward for a clear view. In my testing, Peloton’s bike has been roadworthy and performed well for over two years. It’s even been moved to three different places and only required some tightening of bolts and seat readjustments.

One important thing to note: You must get shoes that clip in to ride the Peloton Bike safely and as intended. Luckily, Peloton uses the “delta-clip,” which is fairly common, and offers its own line of shoes. The two models are also discounted for Prime Day and come with a set of clips.

By ordering it on Amazon, you get free entryway delivery, and the Peloton Bike is now a self-install, with instructions included for a simple assembly. Once all put together, you simply power on the Bike and follow the setup instructions on the screen. After you clip in for a ride, the controls are all completed on the touchscreen—from searching by artist or level of instruction to starting the class.

Music is a big part of any workout, and with the Original Peloton Bike, you get a pretty powerful system made possible by two rear-facing speakers that produce stereo sound. You can also choose to connect a pair of Bluetooth headphones for a more personal experience. It’s also handy if the Bike is placed in a communal space.

Considering the All-Access membership costs $44 a month, it’s good to know that it gives you access to your whole family and classes beyond the bike. Peloton also offers meditation, strength, yoga, dance, pilates, and HIIT, among others. You can stream these through the screen on the Bike or via the Peloton app for Android, iOS, and a bevy of TV platforms.

The most significant cost of getting started with Peloton is the hardware, and right now, you can get the Original Bike for a hefty 21% off. That brings the cost of the Original Peloton Bike down to just $1,145, and it ships with the updated seat post so you don’t have to order it separately. Just act fast because when the Peloton has gone on sale for Prime Day and Black Friday previously, it does sell out.
