Alison Roman shared this four-ingredient lemon pepper pasta with brown butter, and I’m looking forward to whipping it up tonight, while watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith. “It’s the ultimate ‘I can’t believe this came from only that,’” writes Alison. “My favorite way to cook.”
I laughed at this round-up of terrible bike lanes. One has a tree smack in the middle, and the one above is described as “the scenic route.” (via Kottke)
In her newsletter, Jenny revealed her friend Avideh’s tabletop flower trick: Choose two flowers of the same color, cut the stems way down (“centerpieces should be low,” she said), and use an opaque vase to hide the dirty water. How easy is that?
We love our sectional sofa, but the only catch is that you can see stains on the fabric. I’ve gotten it professionally steam cleaned twice (!), and recently, right after the guys came, Anton spilled hot chocolate on a cushion. *shakes fist* My colleague Maureen told me about this mini steamer, which cleans carpets, rugs, cars, armchairs, sofas, etc. Have you tried it? Very curious.
Plus, one un-fun thing! I got hacked last week, and it was a rollercoaster. I had to close my bank accounts, change my credit cards, and even get a new phone number. So, if things have felt a little slow around here, blame this random dude Edwin who spam called me when I had my guard down. Stay safe out there! xo
P.S. More fun things, and a podcast that made me laugh in Trader Joe’s. Plus, another flower trick.
